Dose any think that mark speight from cbbcs smart was a daft person when he did sratchy and co on itv on saturdays in the 90s?

Not so much daft as an artist/presenter who needed the work!

Well its tough to get into showbiz. You need to get as much experience as possible, so he was just trying to make money and get his foot on the ladder I guess. Being a bit too old to watch kids tv in the 90's I don't remember it that well.

I remember him. SmArt was quite a decent show (not as good as the classic Hart Beat with Tony Hart).
I think he probably chose to do that scrathcy and co thing to further his career and get a name for himself. It was a silly show.
