You can paint oil based directly over latex, but not latex over oil without priming first with Kilz.

Sure. But then you will be scraping off the peeling paint for weeks. Prime it with Kiltz before using the latex paint would be much better.

i tried it once and the paint starting peeling off after one day. But just in case you can test a small part and see what happens.

No, they're not compatible......the new paint will just peel off in a couple of days or weeks.

yes you can I have done it several times with no problems as long as surface is clean and properly prepped.
