I'm really nervous. I've been learning for a year and found it really hard. The standards are really high in the UK and i failed my last one. My nerves got to me, me legs wouldn't stop shaking making my clutch control terrible and i ended up making stupid mistakes. Does anyone have any tips, i really wanna pass this time!

Breathe deeply.
Make it really obvious that you are looking in your mirrors, so the examiner will notice.
Drive up to the speed limit (if safe to do so). Don't do 30mph in a 40 mph zone.
Try to stay calm - it's not the end of the world if you fail, you can always re-take.
Very best of luck for 2moro!

Driving an auto is a tremendous responsibility. It takes knowledge, skill, and trust. That's right, trust. Do you trust that you have the knowledge to operate the auto safely? You need to be honest with yourself on this one. And do you trust your skill behind the wheel? Experience is what gives you skill. If your teacher is a good one, and one who knows you, you got the best teacher you could have, DAD. You know you can trust him. He is going to make sure you are getting the best lessons possible. Love guarantees that. And lastly, trust itself. Do you have trust in the examiner? This person, who is going to make a judgment on your driving capabilities. The one who is going to O.K. you for driving on the same roads as his/her own family. You have no reason to feel worried or nervous. Just relax, trust that everyone else will do their job. Believe me when I tell you that they are more worried than you. If you still feel you need more advise, this works well. Have a police officer drive around with you for a while. After a while you will become less and less nervous of them being there. When you go to take your test, pressure will be much much much less. Good luck!

Find a friend or family member that has an automatic transmission automobile, use this car to practice driving, and take it to get your drivers license test. This way you won't have to worry about clutching and shifting.

Stay calm, over exaggerate your safety movements. Pause when you put on your seat belt, check you mirrors. DO NOT turn on the radio. Use your blinkers everytime, epescially when you parallel park. Good Luck!
