unless your using a paid account in yahoo it will be really difficult to spamguard it. you can try to add the domain name of the spam account to the spam list so that every mail delivered from that domain is block by spamguard or get a new email address and dont give them out to forums and stuff. hope this helps a little! have that same problem too..

Everyday spammers find new routes to try to get into your email inbox. Spam consists of unwanted advertising, but some can transmit viruses, ad ware or spy ware on to your computer and cause problems. A lot of time is wasted sorting through the email received and deleting Spam email While it is not possible to totally eliminate Spam email, you can keep junk emails manageable. I have seen a brief study on spam in the following site. It is very useful .I recommend that you adopt the methods suggested there and get benifitted.

Simply, Yes. But, the new operating system should have some sort of free trial security program on it. If its an older operating system, you may not be able to get the updates though. You can always download a free version of a good anti-virus, spyware, etc program until you get something you feel more secure with though. AVG comes to mind along those lines. The free version is excellent. It's the only security I've ever used and have never had a troublesome infection.

Not really anything you can do other than that. Put the spam blocker up to the max, and whenever you get spam emails in your inbox instead of just deleting them, click the button that says mark as spam. Then those emails can't send to your inbox anymore. I wouldn't EVER reccommend putting your email ANYWHERE on the internet, because companies WILL give it to spammers and you WILL get spam mail. The only place I give my email is like sites I trust (i.e. BMG, Columbiahouse, Amazon, Ebay, ETC.) If you post your email in ANY blog your asking for spam emails, or if you ever enter it in pop-ups, or in anything. Getting spam out of your email is kind of like getting your credit high again once it's damaged. You have to be real good about it, and make sure you pay it off (and with spam) you have to mark all the spam emails you get as spam, and keep your email off the internet as much as possible. It will take time but eventually you will get less and less and eventually it will be so little spamblocker will be able to get them all out of your inbox. As with credit you have to keep paying off your debts until you have a high credit again. But then one bad thing and your credit can be ruined again, as in if you put your email on the internet you might get 10,000 spam in your inbox everyday again. Nothing else I know of to do, especailly since if any of your freinds are mad at you they can just go to a bunch of sites and enter your email for you. It really sucks for people to do that, but some feel that they have to. I hope this was helpful. I know your question said you need it off ASAP, but I don't know anyway, unless you upgrade your email (paying monthly) and see if that is any better blocking spam, or search the internet for a program that helps block spam (not entering your email :P). Anyway I hope this was helpful,
Matt

The methods used to get rid of spam largely depend on your email client.
Would you be able to append your question to add further details? If so I'll try to post a more applicable answer.

Change accounts.
Gmail is excellent.
Once you are in the loop, you are in the loop. Might I suggest two accounts? One for personal stuff and one for "business".
But that much spam. Dump it and get a new account.
