here's his statement in a nut shell.

You know, I hate gay people, so I let it be known. I don't like gay people and I don't like to be around gay people," Hardaway said while a guest on Sports Talk 790 The Ticket in Miami. "I'm homophobic. I don't like it. It shouldn't be in the world or in the United States."

Sounds like Hardaway has some serious anger issues. He might consider anger management and professional counseling!

everyone is entitled to their own opinion rather we like it or not. No matter how much you guys hate what he says there will always be people like him and its absurd to think that by bashing on him that people will change their minds. its not going to happen. I understand that what he said was politically incorrect but why are there people hating on him and stooping to that level? dont even use the analygy of what if he said he hates white because race is somehing that is uncontrolled. People cannot hide from their race but people can hide their sexuality. just as how malechi had his right to express his feelings tim hardaway has the right to express his rather it be in a good way or bad. In a way im glad that hardaway said this in a controversial way because we as americans should not tolerate homosexuality, doesnt matter about freedom of choice or what not its just wrong because we are here to procreate and reproduce in abundance. Yes i know this is the 21st century and we should have open minds, but how can we move farther away from the foundation that this country was build on? Our country was build on christianity and there are things in God's eyes that is not right like homosexuality. The more we allow these sins in our culture the farther apart we are moving away from God. I personally cannot say I hate all gay people because everyone is a child of God, and i dont have the right to judge but when it comes to tolerating homosexuality, i will not because i dont promote homosexuality at all. So saying this thank you tim hardaway for saying what 90% of all men will not say.

What liberals in the media don't mention is the fact that Tim Hardaway had to shower and dress around other gay men. Most women would not want to go and shower with strange men. Gay men usually vote for Democrats. Why do liberals spend so much time defending homosexuals? That's the real question.

He is an American and he has the right to free speech to say whatever he wants so if he don't like gay people that's his right to say it and I also agree with him If there were suppose to be guys f_cking guys there would be no women on this earth so if you believe in god or a higher power think why would him or that higher power have women and men on this earth and turn around and then let men f_ck each other and don't give me the excuse that there is something wrong in their head because it is a ******* choice to be gay or not just like smoking a cigarettes is a choice So I agree with Tim and say no gays in any damn sport

He might be gay himself---or he may not. The possibility has become open since it's well known that straight man wouldn't care one way or another....but closetted gay men would mind.

Maybe or maybe not. He may enjoy sex with women...but may be romantically in love with guys...this happens alot. Doesn't mean a guy is gay...though alot of discussion could be raised about this.

Tim Hardaway---may have issues with his own sexuality even though he may or may not have ever had sex with a man. He may just be worried that these gay men would get annoying in the locker room....i mean hey...sometimes I would get upset if a girl who I don't like was looking at me.

HOWEVER

being told that I'm cute or attractive is always a compliment I'm always ready for.

And it's no different when a man says that I'm attractive. Sure I may not be attracted to them...i don't feel uncomfortable when another guy looks at me in the locker room...provided that they don't get annoying. I've been to gyms in Hollywood were I'm sure gay guys were at....I was naked and I really didn't care. I'm ok...why wouldn't Tim Hardaway....he just have issues with himself....EVERYBODY IS A LITTLE ATTRACTED TO THEIR OWN SEX....it's when you have issues that you start to hate other groups

I understand there used to be a Black Gay night club in Miami called HARDAWAY's - I understand Timmy owned it. I guess that was just business and was totally unrelated to his hate. lol Or maybe that's why he now hates so much !! I hope he made a lot of money from the gay community because he will probably never make another cent ! Dummy !!

He's not comfortable with his own sexuality. He probably believes all gay and lesbians are attracted to all men and all women, but that is untrue. He's afraid a man will hit on him.

How would he like it if someone said a racial slure to him ?

He's an azzhole !!!!!!!!
