every where you go there are big yellow signs asking for help for the police as people have been robbed ..stabbed..raped.. etc
Has this country finally become a lawless society and should I seriously think of moving to australia to give my kids a safer life??

You need a few paramilitaries over there the kids will be so scared of them they won't do any thing with out permission.

Andy i saw the news today and yes this society is becoming rough....there's no direction in their lives and all they do is go and kill, rape, stab people.....no excuses though, if you feel that Aus will be a safer place for your kids then go for it....here where i live there's certain areas that we will not go near because of the same thing, that's why i moved away from that place, and it's sad really because those areas is where i was raised and we had nothing like this back then... i wanted my kids to be safe, so moving was the best thing i did....our kids are important and i would hate to see any of mine get hurt by some under educated idiot who thinks he's clever coz he got a gun, so yes if i had the choice to move to Aus and get them away from it, i would do it....

Sadly the level of gun crime is far higher in Australia.
Its not so much that its different now its just the media that are over stating the issue. I'm not saying we don't have major problems, but there's one thing we must fear more than bad people, its the idifference of good people.
Stay, stand up an be counted. Its not going to change unless we stop it. An we can. But we can't run from it. I appreciate your concern with your children an you have to make the best decision for them based on your beliefs.
But its still a few bad apples, we need to change the laws for the penalties of carrying weapons, if you intend to take a life you should face life in prison.

You don't need to leave the country, Britain needs all the decent citizens it can get!
Move somewhere safer than South London. This government (and the last one) turned the streets over to thugs and they couldn't care less about the decent working class people who have to live there.
There are safe areas of Britain, still.

i was just having a discussion about this with someone funny enough...between happy slapping, rape, muggings, stabbings, date rape, teenage pregnancy rates, drug use,stds, binge drinking, shootings...i could go on and on...i think we are living in a lawless society...
i just heard a story about a friend of a friend...she had just drawn money from a business account and went up the street in a very busy main shopping area...she was hit by something on the back of the head and her face...it was sh*t...literally...she vomited and a woman came to her assistance...took her into a shop where she was able to get cleaned up...when she came out, the woman who had helped her had disappeared....along with her handbag....WTF!!!...i know thats minor in comparison to shootings but she it was a big violation on her person...people will stoop to anything now, i would move,lol...they have Australian Y!A right???

Just move out of london. If the authorities can't be bothered to clean things up then move and let them have the ghetto they want. London will then be full of violent thugs who will presumably all run around killing each other. So what. I won't miss them, will you?

yes i would theyve got no chance in london australias a nice place to live but everywheres got there problems londons and some other areas are getting real bad now

Yes it is getting ridiculous, saying that Brits arnt welcome in Aussie, they fookin hate us. But fook them, we taught them everything they know and they are really Brits at heart.
