had a c-section a month ago. my bleeding has been pretty light, but has been consistent over last month. it varies between pink, red, and brown back and forth. sometimes it won't be at all for a day or two, but always comes right back. i had another c-section 12 years ago and don't remember bleeding this long! anyone else have this same experience? i have no cramps or anything like that.

6 weeks, same as a vaginal. That's average though, for it to go under or over is totally normal too. If it lasts longer then 8 weeks see your doc.

UHhh. I had the same thing. I just had a little girl in Oct and I thought the bleeding would never end. I think mine lasted about 6 weeks I remember I had just stopped the day before my 6 week post baby check up. Infact I remember my obgyn saying she still saw a little blood still. And mine did come and go to, and there were some days where it was lighter and darker etc. Hope this helps. Congrats on the baby.

I bled for about 5 weeks after my c-section. It was like a normal period, but a bit heavier and a lot longer. When you go to your 6 week check up, your doc will evaluate. Sometimes the doc misses some of the placenta during the c-section, and it needs to come out.

It was about 5 weeks for me after each of my c-sections. Because its getting lighter you're fine, the time to be worried is if it got very heavy (more than 1 pad per hour) or had clots golf ball size and larger.

As long as you aren't passing any big clots, you are probably fine. I remember bleeding for about a month too. If you are passing big clots, go to the doctors.

Yeah... I think I was about a month too. And then I got my period back a month after that.
