I agree with the first answer, any time in the first year you are on a new birth control form of any kind, you will basically feel pregnant. If the test shows up negative, you can either see a doctor for a blood test, or wait 4 weeks and try again. If you get another negative, it's highly doubtful you're pregnant. The IUD is supposed to be pretty effective, I wouldn't worry too much if I were you.

Although pregnancy is not likely, there have been cases of women becoming pregnant while using a IUD, you should go to the doctor for a blood test to be positive. I once knew a woman you became pregnant twice while using the IUD.

if a pregnancy test is negative, then you are not pregnant. those things are cheap but doggoned near perfect. you are cramping and stuff most likely for the same reason you can't find/feel the IUD string -- it moved to God knows where and you could have an infection or injury going on. go back to your doc!

I think you should get checked out by your dr. There may be a problem with ur IUD. A friend of mine got pregnant whilst she had an IUD and had to have an abortion because it had damaged the baby. So go to your doctor asap!

Your IUD has probibly moved, go get checked. If you have an infection from the IUD it can permenantly ruin your chances of having babies, ever. If you are pregnant with the IUD the chances of carrying to term are very very rare. You must see your doc.

IUD's can keep your uterus from "emptying" each month.. clots can form.. not good.
Also the leg cramping.....
You need to make sure your IUD is still in position... that it hasn't accumulated any clots..
Make an appointment NOW.
I was in an auto accident... minor fender-bender... my IUD giot shifted.. no one could figure out why I was bleeding... IUD had poked a whole in the wall of my uterus.

I know a few women who've stopped having periods altogether with IUD, so I don't think that is too weird. However, with your other symptoms I think you should go see your gynecologist to be sure that it is still properly placed and that you don't have an infection.

it is VERY difficult to get pregnancy with an IUD and if you do it is also very likely to have an ectopic pregnancy. I would call your doctor immediately. you need to get in to see someone very soon. if you aren't pregnant, something could be wrong with the iud...
good luck!

well the only SURE signs of pregnancy is after six weeks or so is your vagina as well as your cervix gets a purplish blue color, and you uterus slightly enlarges more than normal(thats how docs check!) there are many misleading symptoms of pregnancy. my advice is to check with your doc. not having your period is a red flag although it could be several other things it could also take a while to get enough HCG in your system to get a positive result!
