I don't know, I just have noticed that the older you get, the wierder you get.

Yes.

From the perspective you have now, your future self will look 'weird' because no matter how old you are, you seem normal to yourself. The difference is that as you age, your priorities change, your knowledge of the world changes, your perspective changes....

18-22 is a huge period of change for most people. Its the period where we 'leave the nest' so to speak. You realize - and I mean beyond intellectually, but it really sinks in - that your laundry doesn't do itself, I can't just blow off work because I'll get evicted if I don't come up with the rent money, food doesn't magically grow in the refrigerator - someone had to work to put it there, etc.,...

Rather than those things being covered by the parents, they are now your responsibility. You learn that 'whoa, my parents aren't idiots - they actually know what they are talking about and have been trying to tell me the whole time.'

You may become what from your current perspective is 'weird' but then again, you will also be looking back at yourself thinking that you were weird when you were younger. Priorities change, then perspectives change as a result - even perspectives of your future self and your past self.

I know I thought the same thing when I was say 16. Now that I'm 32, I look back at my 16 year old self and think "what was I thinking?".... just like when I was 16 and I thought about 32 year olds "what are they thinking".

Its not a matter of weirder as much as its a matter of changing definitions of what weird means. That's the effects of the the natural process of learning and growing in action. What would be truly odd is for you to think that people older than you are normal.

The word "weird" is used when something doesn't seem "normal". When alot of weird things happen over an extended period of time, for something "normal" to happen will appear "weird". People change, so does time...your "changing", when you think about it...it's not so "weird".

Don't worry, everyone around you will be weird anyways, so noone will notice.
