What do you remember about Ultraman?

As a kid growing up, I remember thinking Ultraman was pretty cool. What do you remember about him?

I thought the costume was pretty cool. I used to watch Ultraman every day after school on one of the UHF channels. Now that I think about it I guess it was a pretty cheesy show, but I still like it and I'm 39.

the dude had the baton to get ultraman, and the red blinky light on his chest when his energy was running low,,, that and it was a cheesey japanese import on the level of the godzilla movies that were shown during that time,,
