You can use either a vdeo camera (and then transfer it to your PC) or a web cam. The video camera will be a better quality picture.

Once you have the footage, you need a video editor (such as Movie Maker included free with Windows XP) to edit the video.

Once you have a finished movie, simply upload it to youtube

Recommend that you start by downloading an existing video and playing around with it in Movie Maker. Once you have learn the basics of editing, then use a webcam to capture some footage and practice on it. By that time you will realize that you need to purchase a real video editor (like Adobe Premiere) and a real video camera (with USB exporting ability).
