hiya..... we have a husky whos tummy is a night mare!!! We feed him pro plan perfomance and ONLY that! he can't have any treats unless they're his food! we had to "flat line" him by feeding him chicken and rice for a week then put him on the food and just bare with it! Does your pup get really bad runs after eating? what are you feeding him / her on at the mo? Try if you can to find something with lots of protien if he / she's energetic (they usually are!) and not so much wheat if at all possible stay away from wheat completly! we have to! all dogs are different of course but husky's all seem to have sensitive tummies, you'd think they'd be good to scavange seeing as in the wild they do but unfortunatly it's a strict diet that he / she needs! It's hard to do but stick with it and it will get better! Good luck, i have 7 pups to wean now all husky cross so this should be fun! x

A husky will eat as much as you can feed it but PLEASE don't think the little bugger is starving no matter waht he/she may tell you. LOL Ours is fed Pedagree indoor complete.
Because it is an active breed does not mean it needs MORE food. Huskies are pigs (trust me) and can easily get over weight.
follow the reccomended amount for the wieght of the dog and everything should be ok.. best of luck and MANY happy hours with your husky.

The absolute best food that we have found for our husky/malamute/wolf mix is Innova. It's actually made for huskys and other large dogs.

It has all the right nutrients for a healthy coat and is just great all around! It's a bit more expensive than regular dog food, but it really is worth it.

Treat wise, go to the meat department at your grocery. Ask for cow bones. They should have a package of two or three. Grill them up, and give one to your husky. They love them!
