I have a labtop I got for a gift and I guess they bought it from someone else...anyway I was trying to connect it to the internet and it sent it back to the original owners log in...like the very first screen you see when you start it...Well, of course I don't know the original owners password nor does the person who got it for me....What are my options? I just want to get on my computer , don't even much need the internet ...yet anyway! Thanks in advance!

Try rebooting into Safe Mode and choose the Administrator account -- if you're lucky, they didn't put a password on that one. From there, go to User Accounts and you can delete the old one (or change the password on it) and create a new account for yourself.

All you have to do is go into START | SETTINGS | CONTROL PANEL | ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS

Find the application (if it is AOL, just highlight AOL) then uninstall it. That ought to do it.
