The Berlin Wall came down November 9th, 1989. The Scorpions released 'Winds Of Change' in 1990, though it didn't become the big international hit until the Gulf War in 1991. The lead singer, who wrote the song, was however inspired by the fall of the Berlin Wall when he wrote the song.
