Hollister trend is fading... 4 reasons.... 1- The "style" is copied by other stores such as American Eagle and dept. store like Jc Penny. 2- The market is finding new trends back to classic and preppy rather than "beach trend". 3- Hollister is trying to refresh there ideas, because of low sales. 4- Hollister has been trying to change for the past year with "new classic" clothier, so Hollister knows that the change is going to happen.
People are over with this "beach wear" that's why Hollister HAS been trying to update there idea's, clothing, and overall look. If you ask me it's about time...

Hollister is going to spread out here in Europe. Not still popular, but it's growing fast.
On the other hand A&F is fading out...

I doubt.

As much as it's a lil too trendy, it's still classic So-Cal beach attire, and as long as the fascination and love for the sun, sand and ocean remains, the Hollister thing will keep burning!

I looked up Hollister fashion, but I can't see any distinction between the "designer" items and anything you'd find at Walmart. Basic, basic, basic t-shirts, shorts, jeans, etc. It's casual dress ad nauseum.

All I can say in favor of it is that it's not a big-brother's/sister's hand-me-down look.

As long as there are teens and people like me who like preppy clothes, its gonna be in style for a long time.
