You might benefit from having someone to talk to, such as a therapist. If you are overanalyzing things, it can affect your life negatively, and lead to anxiety and depression.
If you find a way to deal with these thoughts, this is the best thing to do. If you are not depressed or have anxiety now, you might not need meds, but the talk therapy could prevent you from needing them in the future.
Good luck!

If it's affecting your social life, then yes. You may have anxiety disorder. Overanalyzing and overthinking everything is just another way to say your a "worrier". I would advise "talk therapy" (psychoanalysis or counseling) rather than a regular doctor because the doctor will just medicate your symptoms rather than get to the root cause of the problem. You may not need medication if you just have someone to talk to to help you either validate your concerns, or discredit the things that aren't anything to worry about... and teach you how to spot the differences.

Is it that that if affecting you social life?
It is okay to analise and think things through its normal but what is it that is making you do it excessively?
Is there some other reason your trying to find by overanalyzing and thinking alot and your not finding it?? Does it affect anything else?
Ask yourself some questions first about what you are thinking, feeling and doing and how it is actually affecting things and if you still feel confused its not a bad idea to ask a doctor to refer you to a counsellor or something along those lines!

Yes, one key component in diagnosing any psychological abnormality is whether or not it is affects your life in a negative way. Even if what you experience is very mild compared to other people, if it is affecting your life negatively there is help out there.
Talk to your doctor.

Be thankful for the way you are. You're a seeker. overanalyzing is a powerful tool... but it needs it's other half.Which is simplification. Without it you'll go, dare I say........nuts. They're powerful but never should be used separate.

it never hurts to be cautious but if it is interferring in your daily enjoyment of living its time to go within to see whats happening psychically. HOWEVER if i were you and speaking from previous personal experience in YEARS of therapy, before i would go to a shrink or therapist
(the rapist...get it?) or counselor, I would see if i could find some sort of self help book at Barnes and Noble or the other place (i always forget their name...oh yeah Borders) counselors and that sort of thing tend to make things worse before they get better and they call that a path to success.. I call it bullcrap.
