In the 70s the cholos used to be big time into Oldies, songs like Angel Baby come to mind when I think about it. There was a radio station in LA (XPRS) that catered to them and played oldies all night, I listened to it regularly even though I wasn't a cholo and heard dedications from "Sad Girl" to her "old man Puppet" of songs like Sitting in the Park Waiting for you, etc. Low Rider magazine even put out a few soul type oldie compliation albums. Whether or not this still happens, I don't know, there aren't as many cholos as there used to be.

What about them? A lot of mexicans like oldies. It's what our parents listened to when we were growing up. And it's not just limited to cholos.

Hell, I don't know too many people that listen to country and brag about it. Mexicans got soul like Black folks which is another reason we need to stop fighting each other.
