In South Carolina you can't. You can only buy food from a grocery store or even some convenience stores. Some of the convenience stores that sell food (that's cooked there) take the food stamps for that but you normally can't purchase prepared foods with food stamps.

In Alaska you can. You just can't buy rockstars and cigarettes and cooked food. You can't buy deli food that's already prepared.

no, only food...but not from restraunts or deli area of grocery store. no alcohol either but soda is ok

No, not in my state you can't. It would be 'consumable' products only, and that does not include vitamins or supplements either.
