Apparently the ancient Celts and Vikings (and Goths for that matter) all considered dragons to be down with OCD. The jewelry for these civilizations, as well as their tapestries and armor, all have intricate non-linear weaves that have an underlying pattern.
Why? When confronted by a dragon, the dragon’s natural OCD would take over and the wyrm would be trapped in the pattern, trying to figure it out.

So is obsessive compulsive disorder the exact opposite of AD/HD?

Come into my home.

Everything is either parallel or perpendicular to everything else. Even the coaster that I'm using has to be straight. I like to Comet the countertops at least four times a day- even if I didn't cook anything. I pour bleach down the drain daily. We wouldn't want any germs to grow in there, now would we? My shoe collection is neatly lining the shelves in the origional boxes with their origional tissue paper and stuffing, labels out. My art supplies have their own shelving system, and live in matching clear Rubbermaids with labels denoting the contents. My shirt drawers are seperated by sleeve length, then purpose (ie dress, casual, artwork...), then fit, then fabric, then color. There's plenty more, and I love it all. Ah, how satisfying!

Although my spelling generally leaves something to be desired, my grammar and punctuation is usually perfect.

I re-check things over and over...like on the job, I'll write a message for someone and if my handwriting isn't to my satisfaction...I'll throw away the paper and start over several times until I get it right like I want it. I also have this thing where I'm always searching other people's stuff or mine for misspelled words or errors. I spot them so easily. I also tend to fixate on something or someone I'm interested in. I think about them too much and waste time with it. I think I secretly wish someone would fixate on me...in a good way, because I've never had anyone that interested in me, someone I would mutually be interested in. SEE how fixated I am with this subject ?

Obvious signs, not necessarily to the person with the disorder though.
Constant and consistent tasks repeated without letting up.
There are varying cases.
MY g/f says I am. I can agree to and extent but nothing be called and OCD. I do somethings because I want to, never to excess though.

constantly repeating the same behavior.
notice i didnt put strange behavior.
the reason for this is because if you check the stove ten times a day then you can make damm sure its not gonna catch on fire.
if you check your lock time and time again you can be sure that no ones stealing **** from you that day.

If you keep asking questions and each of your questions is perfectly spell-checked you might be an OCD.
