The belief and hope that my dreams will come true one day.
Yes, you have to be able to work for what you want, but some things just seem unattainable, therefore we wish, hope, use positive thinking, visualization, and meditation. We feel that if we use these tools, it will help us to attain our goals.
There is nothing wrong with or harmful about wishing on a star. I'm 54 and still do it at times. Dreams and wishes keep our imagination alive.

The inner-child inside of me. I remember when my older cousin said "Wish on the first star that you see" when we were outside. And I wished. That wish never came true, but I still like to wish on them anyways.

My track record of having some of the earlier wishes come true. It is like winning on an early lottery ticket and the going back fruitlessly after that.

wishing is for losers who yearn for more but is too lazy to reach out and grab your goals.
