I heard he had been a Jehovah's Witness for quite a while.

Prince was apparently raised as a Seventh-day Adventist.

Prince Rogers Nelson (the name on the entertainer's birth certificate and still his legal name) was apparently baptized as a Jehovah's Witness in the mid-1990's.

To my knowledge, he began studying in 2001, but didn't get baptized until 2004. As for the house to house work, I imagine he comes into enough contact with people for incidental witnessing. As for attending meeting, he would be no different than anyone else, including driving himself or taking a taxi to the nearest Kingdom Hall to where he is giving his latest concert. That's what he did here. If he went out in service, it would be with a group of other witnesses, and despite what you may think, you would likely not recognize him wearing a suit. People get a certain picture in their minds of what a star should look like and wearing a $100 casual suit in not one of them.

There are many witnesses who work in the entertainment industry. Look up info on an old 70s Police series called "Get Christi Love." She was the first woman, as well as the first African-American, to have a starring role in a police drama series, but between the time they shot the pilot and did the series, she became a witness. In the series, she never shot a person.

I suspect his driver, as well as many of his personal employees are also witnesses, as is common with many famous people. Jane Fonda said she would only employ them because they cannot be bought to makeup scandalous rumors about their employers. They also refuse to work for a person who is breaking the law and doing things that violate their code of conduct, such as using illegal drugs.

When Jane Fonda said that on the Tonight Show, Charlton Heston (Moses in the movie - 10 Commandments) was also on the program. He asked her why she didn't become a JW, since she liked them so much. She said that she couldn't see herself living so close to the teachings of Christ as they do, and neither could he (Heston).

It happened as he was collaborating with Larry Graham, who is now a Jehovah's Witness but was once a part of the band "Sly and the Family Stone" (70s)

I'm not sure he was ever baptized but I did hear that he was what's known as an unbaptized publisher and that he did go door to door.

Who knows what the current status is? Unless one of us knows him personally, it's impossible to say.

Not sure he is. I have heard rumblings that he is, however there are still those who claim Michael Jackson is a Witness. I guess if I ever see him at a meeting I will ask him point blank.

I believe in the mid 90's. I know his former body guard I forget his name was praying for him to be saved.

I thought that was the religion of his family. I guess I'm wrong. He may be revisiting it in some capacity, but I'm pretty sure he was raised one.

I heard that he had his limo driver take him door to door to pass out literature and spread Jehovah God's word.I don't know if he's still active, after his performance at the Super Bowl with his shadow and his gigantic guitar. They probably have him sitting in the back of the Kingdom Hall, isolated from everybody else(silent treatment).Oh well......
