I've seen people recommend a program called iDump for copying songs back to your computer. It's a free program. I haven't used it, though, since I keep everything that I put onto my iPod stored on my hard drive(200GB). You might have some luck with that. Just do a search for iDump.

You need to buy a program such as Zelek software's iPod Music Liberator. It'll allow you to move songs from your mini to the computer. The last time I checked, it sold for $25.

I've used it with excellent results. It's easy and effective.

If you're using Windows, just do this:
Find out what letter Windows has assigned your ipod (Look in My Computer)

Goto Start & Choose Run
Type in: "X:\iPod_Control\Music" replacing X with that letter. Copy the folders to somewhere like your desktop. Add those to yourt itunes.
