I was thinking of buying this Pearl set for some friends for their birthdays. I thought it would be a really cute inexpensive way to show them how much I care. What do you all think?

The set comes with a silver chain for the pearl. It's a very unique idea.

em, i think its really thoughtful but it wouldnt be my personal choice. I dont think that it is a "personal" gift thought, especially if you are getting it for a few of your friends. that seems lazy, from a girls perspective.

You dont have to buy them something to show you care necessarily. why not look at each of their hobbies and styles and try to come up with something unique to each of them? for instance, I'm huge into cosmetics, so my boyfriend will randomly buy me a mac lip gloss or bliss lip balm or cuticle cream. they aren't expensive, and other people wouldnt like them, but they make me feel special. My friend for example, is addicted to mars bars, so sometimes i will randomly leave a mini mars on her desk, just to say hi.

Pearl set? what's that, made into earrings, pendants or what? I don't think I would like them if they're just loose pearls but if it's jewelery I think it would be lovely.

I don't think so... Females are difficult to buy anything for. Just give them a gift certificate for their fav store or buy them something that you overheard them saying they wished they had...
