I was looking around for a general sex topic forum and didn't see one. I tried searching for "bondage" and found a few in Singles and Dating, one under Movies, and some more in one of the Culture sections.

Do people assume that non-heterosexual people are all about sex, and therefore any sexual question is best asked of them?

I know I am "guilty" of that. Personally, I assume that they are just more open-minded about sexual topics and if they weren't interested in discussing them, they wouldn't be here. I have been here a few days now since it is where I've seen the most interesting conversations so far (without trying all that hard).

I realize some questions come here because some people don't bother to pay attention to what forum Yahoo suggests for their question.

If people feel weird about their sexual question or, more likely, suspect that it might indicate that something about their sexual preferences is less than 100% straight, they might decide to ask it here instead.

Also, people asking honest questions about their own lives here are usually greeted with well-intentioned, supportive answers... unless people from a certain other area of Yahoo Answers happen to stumble in. And, of course, there are the usual nutjobs that you'll find everywhere, who shall remain nameless.

I ask alot of them in Singles and Dating or Marriage and Divorce because these are the people I am looking for input on, not some 15 yr old girl thats like, yeah bondage rocks!!. I'm 34, I want an adult's input and I would like to know how many adults are really into it and what they are into.

As far as I'm concerned talking about sex is fine -- I don't know how others feel.
