They are more than likely in the wood and damaging the area, they are on your bathroom floor because it is swarming season, when they start to move to make more homes, you can kill them with several items that you can buy from a local pest company, but you cannot purchase any of the stuff they use professionally because it is regulated by the government because of its toxicity. The best thing I have found is concentrated orange, it is not as harmful to humans and it dissolves termites and any bug it come in contact with.
The termite may also be a cause of your sons allergies because of the waste of the termite.

When you have killed the ones you can see, you need to kill the ones you cannot and they are in the wall, floor etc. You also need to check for structural damage, on way is to get an ice pick and probe the wall, where there is damage the wood will be spongy, if you listen close enough sometimes you can even hear them when you knock on where they are at they make a buzzing noise and will get agitated when they are disturbed in this way. So you can find them. Look for kick out holes, you will find a little hole or an area that looks like a little dust pyramid underneath this is the entrance or exit and the best place to start looking.

Call a professional. What you are seeing on the bathroom floor are just the tip o the iceberg. Do they look similar to flying ants? If they do they are the reproductive, called swarmers. That means you are dealing with a mature, well established colony, that will eventually destroy your house. Larger pest control companies will have some financing options available and can use treatment techniques that will be safe or your son. The termites are living under your house, not in it. To get rid of them something has to get to the main colony. That can be as much a 50 feet underground.

Getting rid of the bugs on the floor is only a small part of your problem. What have they done to the structure of your home?

Spray won't make them go away. You really need professional help, and someone will need to verify the integrity of the beams and joists in your home. It usually takes years before structurally significant damage can occur, but you really don't know how long they've been chewing away?

Depending upon your locale, you're probably in swarm season. They've outgrown the nest that is hidden, and come into the open.

Call a pro exterminator and see who'll do it for the least (hint: it won't be Orkin & Terminix, but a local co.) and see what kind of financing they have.

2 words, pest repeller!!!!!!!!! Buy a pest repeller! Put it in on google and you can buy one! Or just try Walmart!

But your house will soon be messed if you don't call a pest controller!
