It would be back in the hands of the people who had it before. The people who were the wealthiest will be the wealthiest once again, and the people who were broke will be broke again. The reason is simply because of peoples attitudes. Wealthy people think differently than the poor. They have a more positive attitude and are willing to do whatever it takes to keep succeeding whilst the poor make excuses and blame everyone and everything else for their failures. Look at many of the lotto winners; once poor, they come into sudden wealth and a few years later they're broke. In addition to their attitudes, they simply don't know how to handle money.

This would cause people to have more children to receive more money.................this would take the pride out of work. There would be so much lying going on, about who received how much money, that it would be a constant reason NOT to work, NOT to go to college, NOT to succeed in anything, as it would not earn the person more money.........everyone could just have free time all the time.........and receive the same amount of money. I think Casinos would thrive! People would lose the pride earned in making money through hard work and would stop bothering to get an education. We would end up with a lot of fat people who don't do anything but play video games or something else as non productive. Through the years, it would become a generational idea that no one needs to work. Nothing would get produced, farmers would stop farming, we'd run out of food! Those few factories that ARE still in the U.S. would not have anyone to work them! All those items would be unavailable. Our country would be a country where invasion would be a 'sure thing'. It's easy to take over a country that has no skills, no one thinking about the future. Ranchers would quit. No meat. Teachers might not want to work if they didn't get paid............no schools. We would not have an educated, skilled society. We would have parents who had children to get more money, and not because they want to love and cherish the children. It would be a sorry state.

Either way, some people would spend all their money on drugs and still be living in poverty. Some people would choose not to work because they already have all they can possibly earn. Some people would not want to become educated since they can make as much being uneducated.

I think the socio-economic status of MOST people would return to where it was prior to the redistribution. I think the biggest change would be the 'trust fund babies.' The Paris Hiltons of this country (no skills, no education, no work ethic, living off of Daddy's dime) would have no way to support themselves once they spent all their money.

The assets would be right back in the same hands in 6 months. Wealth and poverty are mindsets.

In about 1 year, the producers in this country would once again have most of the wealth, and the non-producers would be back where they started.
