Topic: Should downloading free music be illegal or legal?
I need to either be For (legal) or Against (illegal) it and I can't decide.
Can someone send me some sites where I can find information out about the topic. Thanks a lot I really appreciate it.

legal: because only in US and Europe it is illegal, thus only these citizens pay full price the rest of the earth population listen to non-license music and it does not bother them. The government of the US can try to fight it, but it is useless as they can not (at least legally) interfere in the affairs of another country, hence the US citizens loose and waist a lot of time and money

Illegal, two wrongs don't make a right (Recording studios stealing from artists, you stealing from recording studios).
Songs are the work product of artists, the fact that they convert it into a digital format doesn't make it right to download/copy it without their permission.

A lot of people rationalize it by saying it's not really hurting the studios, victimless crime, that the studios are evil so it's okay to steal from them, those are just rationalizations used to justify getting music for free.

Basically ask yourself if you would like to live in a world where EVERYONE downloaded music instead of paying for it. What kind of world would that be like? Well, a lot of artists wouldn't be able to support themselves, there'd be less music, fewer movies, etc.

Besides, it's not like it's expensive. $10 for a CD on iTunes? $1 a song? Give me a break. Back in the day people would pay $10 for a single song and no one complained because they enjoyed the music.
