First, I would argue that the IQs are comparable... but with that said, a few famous historians have been quoted as saying, "Open-mindness is the most intellectual enlightenment to the next level of a higher conscious than man could ever hope to achieve."
So you answer entails the comparison of the narrow-minded versus the open-minded liberal.

Another perception issue. If you're a liberal, and you feel superior to a conservative, then in your mind you are.
I don't believe conservatives are so much smarter than liberals or vice versa, I just thing that liberals are WRONG.

They aren't, they just like to think they are. The question, by itself, is proof that some self-styled "liberals" are pathological in their belief of superiority. That pretty much puts such erroneous beliefs in the same category as the pathological thinking of the fundamentalist "religious right". Making a hypothesis fit a predetermined conclusion is convolute logic. It seems, to me, that liberals with delusions of grandeur are every bit as laughable as conservatives with the same pathology.

Liberals use their emotions to control them? Emotions do not need facts. Conservatives like facts because we are not "bleeding heart" and we use logic. 80% of the people are not for the Abortion law as it stands today. That is a lie from the liberals.
20%-25% are anti abortion
20%-25% are for abortion as it stands today
50%-60% are for limited abortion (only in cases of rape and incest to everything but late term abortion).
But they say Roe vs. Wade is backed by the people. When 70% to 80% of the people would say no to abortion on demand.

thats a bog generalisation but I'd say conservatives tend to view the world through quite narrow lenses. Financial profit and the physical world are of all importance. More progressive philosophies encompass a deeper insight into the metaphysical world, and do not restrict achievements to the material world.
