When you are in love with your partner, is it OK to like others? Let's say, You are still in love with your husband/wife/girlfriend... but once in a while you find yourself fantasizing with other people but you never date them or do anything at all... Do you ever feel like that?

I think it's normal to have fantasies and feel attracted to others, and I don't think there's anything to prevent it! As long as you and your husband have a close relationship and don't ever act on those feelings, things will be OK. If your husband is upset by it, then don't share them. Most husbands also have fantasies or find other women attractive. As long as you both understand this and trust each, this is perfectly fine.

Yes, I have been married 20 years. I would never consider being unfaithful to my husband - but sometimes I do fantasize about others.

I feel like that. Once in a while. I know that I love my husband, but I have a huge crush on someone we are friends with. I would never act on it - but it is nice to have a little fantasy.

Everyone feels like that because our brains are programmed that way. The equivalent of why your guy looks at the girl with her breasts all exposed in public.

It comes down to this though, there is a difference between fantasy and thinking it is real or a favorite word of mine: thy shall not COVET.

Silly crushes are to be expected. It is what you do with them that matters. Don't act on them, but enjoy the knowledge that your still alive and normal.

I tell my husband about my crushes, and he laughs at me. Likewise he tells me his, and I poke fun at him for it.

Normal. Remember Jimmy Carter saying he "...lusted in his heart"?

No, you probably don't. Most people don't remember that Jimmy carter was president. Sad, really. But I digress.
