I'm assuming you will actually be staying at the campgrounds and not Fort Wilderness Resort, which is the cabins. I have not personally stayed at the campground, but I have stayed in the cabins. I think Fort Wilderness offers a lot to do. You are paying a little more for your campsite than you would outside of Disney, but you do get a lot. Plus, you get the boat transportation to Magic Kingdom and the buses to everything else.

There is some nice places to eat onsite (you can also get groceries) as well as a ton of things to do. They have a water pagenant parade each night, they have a petting zoo and also have a nightly campfire with Chip and Dale with songs and movies.

There really is a lot to do there, so it makes it a ton of fun. My only suggestion would be to rent one of the golf carts. It is a huge property and there is a ton of walking otherwise. It doesn't cost much and you can get around a lot easier.

I had a lot of fun at the cabins, since they share the property with the campground, I think you will have a blast.

I've included a link to some info on things to do at the resort.

Have a great time!
