I submit to you that the only ones that benefit from the billions upon billions of animals mercilessly slaughtered each year are the corporate fast food giants, the fashion industry and our own corrupt government. Science has established beyond any doubt that meat has no nutritional value...it serves only as a filler...to make us feel full (assuming we don't get sick from it).

I wonder...will there ever come a time in where enough people will recognize that fact and voluntarily choose not to eat meat?

Will the consumer population at large ever understand that the reason why these animals continue suffering such horrific fates is because we continue buying meat and meat-derived products?

The government is just as much to blame as they stand to benefit by collecting billions in tax revenue from slaughterhouses, farm factories, the fast food industry and even by taxing our purchases of food!

I strongly believe vegetables, fruits, grains are the healthy and ethical way to go.

It's hard to believe how ignorant these responses have been! It's like the vast majority of people in our culture are neanderthals! Anybody who believes that meat is nutritious is living in the 19th century. Anybody who has no compassion or places no value on the life of an innocent and defenseless animal should surely have their head examined by a highly qualified specialist. The problem with you people is that you are greedy, lazy, unfeeling and generally desensitized by the very hamburgers and hotdogs you have been eating 'till now. You are fat, obese, listless and even uneducated. Yet, you pose yourselves as though you were enlightened. Wake up people! You sound like idiots in defending your pro-meat positions. You don't even make sense! Why not spend some time studying the issue at some length and then comment. Speak with your brain, not the bottomless pit that passes for your stomach!!!

I have no doubt that it is on account of people just like you that the wrath of God is coming very soon. We'll see how much you enjoy your steaks then...In fact, it is you yourselves who will become a meal for the birds of heaven along with the other animals...what goes around, comes around. Heartless fools!!!

I really wish they could go back to beating the animals to sleep it would keep the cost down .. ever sense they started all the "humane " ways for of putting them to sleep the prices have went up ... And I have been to the slaughter houses here ..it make me hungry even more....I do not have a weak stomach so all that " suffering such horrific fates " does not bother me I can look at the cow,and pet it watch them slaughter it ,then eat it ....it does not put sorrow in my heart ..... I feel nothing ...for an animal that belongs on my plate ..Now I got to go...... today is 28 oz T-bone for $15.00 at the steakhouse....and I have been a 2 time per week steak eater for 25+years I am healthy ,and have below normal cholesterol ( so much for no nutritional value )

I have never visited a slaughter house, however, I have heard from another person who witnessed the cows being brought into the place to be killed. They put blinders on them and the cows know what is going to happen to them. I was told the cows resist and actually cry. This is enough for me to eat beans the rest of my life instead of any meat. Peace Amanda

I sincerely hope not. In addition to being a delicious protien rich treat, animal flesh is a lifestyle choice. After years of libs crying for the right to choose how dare you consider imposing your will on others. If you choose to how down on Bambi, fine. I think you should go about your business feeling all warm and fluffy if you so choose. Filler? You surely mean the also yummy veggies that fall into the dietary category of catabolic. Bundles of water and undigestable cellulose that require more calories to digest than they supply the body. Popcorn, a derivative of the jolly cob-borne staple has even less value and is a greater filler than any lucious juick slab of perfectly prepared moo-cow.

I wonder if there will come a time in the future when enough people will take their godlike noses out of other peoples business. And allow people to make their own choices about their own lives.

I am pretty sure the consumer you view as unenlightened baboons understand the reason that so many critters fall th the butchers altar of yumminess. It is to produce goods and services that allow people to feed their families and cover the daily expenses of life. The choice, as you said yourself, is voulentary.

When did the government begin the taxation of raw and unprepared food items? State your sources. Sounds European to me.

Now if ingesting the unborn plantlife before it has a chance to grow and flower, then go about your business and deprive those stalks and trees and vines their chance to grow. Rip the mushroom from the stem before it too has the chance to reproduce. Every apple could have given rise to a couple of trees. Destroy them in their fruity 'womb'. The grains of a few stalks of wheat could have produced yards of new growth. Destroy them in their husks. Who will speak for the plantlife you would have destroyed? Those life forms that produce clean fresh oxygen, and not Carbondioxide like you. Life is life. In order for one to continue some must fall.

I have no intention of apologizing or feeling one moments regret for the absolutely delicious prime rib I enjoyed at Outback Steak House last night. So, please continue to eat your vegetables and I will eat meat and we will not agree on this subject and the world will continue to spin happily on it's axis.

where are you getting your info? Meat does have nutritional value. I am a meat eater, couldn't be a vegetarian, I gave it a good try. Please get off your soapbox, or @ least make sure you have accurate information.

If we don't eat them, other animals will - and kill them a lot more brutally then we do. If you moronic bleeding heart liberals don't like it, take a number, get in line, and kiss my crack!
