She doesn't need water right now. She gets all the fluid she needs from breast milk or from formula. If they keep telling you to give her water..Just say you did and don't.
I know how it feels to be pressured. My mom and everyone else kept pressuring me to give my son baby cereal in his bottle. Which is a big no no because they can choke on it, Over eat and get sick, Or even the worse thing over eat and end up hurting there stomachs.
Even though I told them countless of times that it wasn't good for him they kept "insisting" that I do it. So I went online and I got some info sheets from my dr too. That stated feeding a baby, baby cereal in a bottle is NOT A GOOD THING! and I passed out the sheets to everyone and told them. I am not doing it so just get over it.
With in a few mths after that I begain to feed my son baby cereal with a spoon and bowl like your suppose to. He is a prefectly heathly and livly 2 yr old so I guess I knew what I was doing lol.
If they keep stressing you about it just say something to the extent of. "I know she isn't ready for it." or "The dr said not to just yet." Stick up for what you believe in.
Your the parent and you know what is best for your child. If something feels wrong then don't do it. It's like the old wives tale of if you don't put shoes on your baby then they will never learn how to walk right.
Well..My son walks perfectly. (though he more or less runs everywhere and falls because he likes to watch his feet move lol) even though I never put shoes on him until after he learned to walk because his ped. told me that it is better for a child to learn how to walk barefooted so they can retain their balance better.
Anyway best of luck to you and remember..You are the parent and do what feels right..and if it feels wrong..don't do it and say you did lol. :)

No, no, and no. A bottle is made for formula. A spoon is made for cereal, and that is it. Putting cereal in a bottle can lead to choking hazards. Not to mention your baby isn't even old enough for solids yet. The recommended age is 6 months. Introducing any type of solids before then can lead to digestive issues and allergies. You are obviously not feeding your baby enough formula if she's "greedy". Try adding either another feeding or a couple more ounces with each feeding.

Your baby doesn't need water. Giving a child that young anything other than breastmilk or formula is uselss and a waste of otherwise valuable calories and fats that she needs right now. You wouldn't want to replace that with water.....at least now now anyways.
And, when she is ready for some (like about 6mo++), make sure it is sterile and not from the tap.

I wouldn't worry about her vomiting the water up. She probably just drank to much. I used to give my son water to help soften his stool (he was a constipated little fellow), I started at about the same time. If he drank to much of the water he would puke it up. Water is good for them, you just need to be sure they are not filling up on it because it is empty calories and they need all the calories they can get. I would try to give her an once throughout the day instead of all at once.

Water for a 10 week old? I would not bother listening to any advise from those people again LOL
Your baby gets all the "water" she needs from formula or breastmilk.

You should give her a little water, and rinse her mouth out when you give her bottles or breastmilk, if not she will be prone to thrush if you dont. I would give her something like Crystal Springs, it is very pure and good for and the "baby" water is not very good for them as you might think. They have been doing many studies on it because they often have added floruride. Ive heard its not good for babies.

Why are you giving your infant something they don't need? Pour her a glass of root beer while you're at it.
Sorry. My sarcasm got the best of me there. But, seriously, babies do NOT need to have juice or water. They get ALL their fluid and nutrient needs from breastmilk or formula. Babies also have small tummies that get filled easily. Filling them up on something that offers nothing to them nutritionally (water or juice) will just make them refuse their regular feedings, and therefore not get the nutrition they need to grow and be healthy. Tell these people who pressure you to give your child water to pack salt and let you raise your own child.

Your baby dosent need water and its not recommended for her. Any doctor will tell you that!!! If she fills up on water she wont get the nutrition she needs from formula/breastmilk!!! And at 10 weeks old she needs that nutrition. Who on earth is pressuring you to do that???

I have always heard not to give water to a baby and i really don't think that's correct!!!! I gave my son water at around 6 weeks at first he vomited it but then he drank water all the time u don't give them alot but always alittle ounces a day. i notice that when babies don't drink water there tongues get really white because of the milk and that is really not cute!!!!!

Water is good for everybody, even the babies. But make sure you are not filling her stomack a lot. This age she can get only abt 1-1&1/ 2 tsp of any thing. so no wonder if she's vomitting it up. If you are living in a warm country, it will help you to sofen your ltl fellow's stool. Because as the babies have very thin skin, water gets out very easily from it.
Don't be worry!!! everything will be ok as she's getting used to it.
Take care of her!
