I had something similar on my wrist that gave me problems for months until I finally went to the Doctor. What they found was what they called a Calcium growth. I had to have it removed with minor surgery and all has been great since then.

It would probably be a good idea to go have a doctor check out the lump.

It's probably an area fat necrosis, the result of the infection or foreign body reaction you had earlier. Live with it for a week or two, and it will brobably resolve. If it persists, continues to be painful or if it enlarges, see a doc.

Really, one can't make a diagnosis over the 'net, but a very bad scenario would be a soft tissue sarcoma.

Those lumps are most likely lymph nodes. When they get inflammed like that it is usually not a good sign. The lymph system is what our body uses to fight infections. Is it serious? It could be. It could also be something treatable with antibiotics. It could be an infected lymph gland (similar to tonsillitis) or it could be lymphoma. Please see your doctor ASAP. Enlarged lymph nodes can be the sign of something very serious. He may want to take a biopsy just to make sure they aren't malignant. The sooner you get it diagnosed the sooner you can treat it. They could also be benign fatty tumors. Best to see your doctor so he can find out what they are.

i'd be willing to bet that it is a calcium deposit or something that isn't too serious, but still get it checked out. my friend had the same problem.
