Cray-on. I live in Scotland, and I've never heard a crayon called a cran. That sounds daft.

Actually I find I use both pronunciations, although CRA - YON is the correct one. OHIO

I don't say "cran" unless refering to cranberries and I don't ask for "man-aisse" for my sandwich. A lot of people I know do- I live in California.

Its CRAY-ON! Any good old fashioned American knows that. Where are you from...Connecticut? I hope you don't work in a school. That would be scary. Representing New York and every other civilized state that can pronounce words right. Anyone who disagrees can suck it.
