some are addicted to books, some are not. some would rather prefer the movie than the book. like me, i prefer the movie but still it would be better if we read the book because some movies don't put every little detail unto their production.

I am totally addicted to reading. Each and every time I finish a book I have to run to the bookstore that day to buy another one!

I have a very stressful life and a great way to escape is to get lost in a book. When you really get into it, it can take you to another place and relieve a lot of the stress in your life. Reading can also open you up to new things.

I've read many books that were also movies. I've read books before seeing the movies and vice versa. If I read the book first and love it, I most likely will not see the movie because that will ruin the experience for me. Example) Congo and Sphere both by Michael Crichton.

It is much more better to read the book first before you see the movie.
A book has more details than you would see in a film. Books are so addictive because they attract all audiences. Everyone who reads books would like to be the character in the book. People get drawn into books.

You can take a book with you wherever you go, but you can't watch a dvd everywhere.

The Majority of films are based on books.

Most films you watch don't manage to cover all the facts of one book. They always miss bits and chunks out. So a reader of books would have a more feel for what the films about than someone who doesn't read books.

I am addicted to books....I love them....I read about 3 books a week and I wouldn't have it any other way....I think some people lack the attention span and imagination to read, but I don't hold that against them

I think that some people aren't good readers so they avoid it. Other people are really good readers and can read the bigger (and usually better written) books. And others can just never find a good book. So it depends on different situations.
