I watched it because it's like a big deal but I gotta be completely frank here, I didn't think it was the greatest of all love stories. Why didn't I like it and everyone else in the world does?

I am a hopeless romantic, I adore movies about love, some of my faves are Titanic, City of Angels, The Notebook and a Walk To Remember. I'm thinking maybe I'm too young to appreciate it.

At it's time it was very risquee, and a cinematic masterpiece. The marketing was incredible also, which explains why we still refer to GWTW as "The Greatest Love Story Ever Told".

I saw it in a theatre during a re-release in the seventies and was mesmerized (I was also VERY young, lol). Now that it is on TV all the time it has lost a lot of it's appeal. I'm sorry that you weren't able to feel the true "experience," but it really is one of those "HTBT" things.

From a woman's perspective, it showed just how strong and determined we can be when "the chips are down and the going gets tough". Arriving home at Tara, Scarlett finds the house in ruins, the food gone, the crops burned, most of the slaves run off, her mother dead, her father with dementia, and her two sisters sick with typhoid. Desperate for food while digging in the ground, she finds a dirty turnip or potato and attempts to eat it. That's when she swears that once the war is over, she'll never be hungry again, and takes strength from this vow. You've got to admire her spunk.

To be easy, i haven't study the two long previous with the Wind or the super Gatsby.although from what my acquaintances reported, i might elect long previous with the Wind. Harry Potter =D you will desire to smack me on the pinnacle for this, yet i haven't study works from the two of those writers too. **hangs head in complete shame** NInjas! i does no longer be a genuine Asian if i did no longer say it. Michael Jackson =D Ohh yeaa... I in basic terms be conscious of Katy Perry, so Katy Perry. i individually like maximum of her songs.

It's a little bit confusing to watch it the first time
It has to do with love and war and death
But i never really fully watched
I usually turned it on at nite and always fell asleep before it always ends
But trying watching it again
maybe you didnt grasp the exact concept

It was a ground-breaking movie in 1939. Maybe you need to look at it from a pre-WWII perspective.

I always found Scarlet rather annoying and the movie seemed endless, as did the book.

Are you kidding? It's just classic and beautiful. I love that movie! But if you didn't like it that just means you have different tastes that's all. Take care.

Yah I know! I've never saw it, but I really don't want to either.

I mean Titanic is GREAT and it's just a ship that sank.
