I think it shoud. I do not think there is anything wrong with someone liking the same sex. I just don't think they should get special treatment just because they are gay. But I think that you should be aloud to marry the person you love, gay or straight.

I have a gay brother. I also agree with you 100%. Life is too short not to be with the person you love and it doesn't matter if the person is gay, what matters is if they love someone they should be entitled to the same love a privaledges as anyone else. And yes without special treatment. Take care Heather

For all those who do not agree it should be legal just
imagine you could not be married to the one you love so much.

Iam straight and have been married for 14 yrs but I think it's unfair that people who want to marry and are in love
can not just because they are gay.

Yet it's ok for people to get married who feel nothing for one another like the ones who need papers to stay in a country so they get married and when the papers are finalized they divorce.

I agree. In an age where we are still trying to overcome racism, sexism, etc., to discourage gay marriage is like taking 5 steps backwards. If all people are created equal, then how come they can't all marry? It isn't as if being gay is a choice (Ask anyone that you know who is gay) -- kind of like, being black or female isn't a choice. To discriminate against such behavior or any other that creates inequality between those of us who are heterosexual and those of us who are homosexual is very dated, ignorant thinking.

I thinkgay marriage should be legal. If the twopeoplelove eachother why should it be illegally for them not to show it. You cant help it. If you feel vone way with one person and you dont feel the same with someone of the opposite sex then you should be the one to choose.

Of course they should...why should us straight-types be the only ones to experience the horrors of divorce court?!

Seriously....whether or not you agree or disagree, gay people are having children, and children deserve the right to have two parents legally responsible to each other and their family.

I'm for it, by the way.

I agree. People who marry and divorce within weeks make a mockery of marriage; not people who are in love and happen to be the same gender.

I agree with you. Regardless of what sexual orientation you have, I feel you should be able to marry the person you love. We, as heterosexuals, do it every day, why cant they???

No. Only because I don't believe in gay/lesbians. It's not right and that's my opinion.
