If we did concieve it would have been 19 days ago. Shouldn't a HPT say positive by now? I was so anxious my doctor did a blood test 7 DPO and was also neg, but she said it is still poss. in am preg and was too early to show even in blood. I am tired of seeing neg on HPT but dont know what else to do?
Are the signs of preg?
1. low grade temp almost every day 99.1-99.5?
2. I had spotting only when wiping twice 4 days before period due, did not even get on pantyliner just with wiping?
3. tired
4. increased urination
5. obviously missed period

Please any help or advice would be appreciated!!!!

It sounds very likely you are pregnant. Sometimes HPT just don't register the hormone. I would make an appointment for a follow up at your OBGYN since 12 days have passed and ask her to do another blood test.

Best of luck and baby dust!!!

You may have ovulated much later than usual.

Are you taking (or have you takne) any medications which might interfere w/ your cycles such as clomid or progesterone/natural progesterone cream. Both can interfere w/ your luteal phase and progesterone can raise temps.

Usually the luteal phase (the days after ovulation and before the next period) is 12-16 days long. An LP longer than 18 days is usually a sign of pregnancy, though it could also be a corpus luteum cyst.

I have heard of pregnant women not getting a pos on an HPT. Perhaps another blood test could give you a more definitive answer.

You might also request an exam and/or ultra sound just in case it is a cyst.

Are you charting? If so, you should be able to tell exactly when you likely ovulated. That would give you better info.

Some good sources: Fertilityfriend.com (free software as well as a pay-for version and on-line charting turorial); ovusoft.com (discussion boards for many fertility related issues, much info on fertility after the pill, and a very good software for purchase). The books Taking Charge of Your Fertility (associated w/ the the ovusoft website and software) and Garden of Fertility.

The signs you are pregnant are high. The tiredness, the frequent urination are early symptoms with pregnancy. The spotting you mention a few days before your due period is typical for woman to experience & is when the fertilised egg implants in your uterus. If you have been tracking your basal body temp then it should have risen at/after ovulation and remained high. Normally if you are not pregnant it will begin to get lower again just before your period but if it stays high 17 days in a row then it is a good indication of pregnancy. However for your BBT to be accurate you need to have been taking it before getting out of bed, standing or doing anything & after 4 hours of continual sleep or it can be inaccurate slightly. From when you ovulated it should have risen & remained high by approx 0.4-0.6 deg farenheit.
Some women do not produce enough of the pregnancy hormone to show up on home tests. The blood test is then the best option. I wouldnt give up hope - all the positive signs are there, and especially if your doctor said the blood test may have been too early also. Return to your doctor and explain your symptoms, I'm certain she can carry out another blood test now - it looks like you are pregnant, I shouldnt worry at all about the home tests showing neg. It is common to get false neg results. Fingers crossed for you & I hope you get the result you are hoping for.

Well if your doctor said that it is possible just maybe to early I would wait for a couple more weeks and try a First Resoponse at home test and use the first morning pee if it still comes out negitive I would go see your doctor for another blood test and go from there because blood test should show earler then even the at home tests so the doctor may need to look into other resons why you are not having your period. Good Luck.

I would say since your testing negative that you are not pregnant. I tested 3 DPO and popped positive, it is possible that you Od late, do you track that to know for sure? Higher temps are not always an indication of pregnancy, it just means progesterone is still high, your temperature usually drops the day you start your period. If you Od late however it might not show on a pregnancy test yet. I would wait it out or go back to the doctor and have another blood test drawn. TTC is frustrating and very exhausting, just relax and chart everything you can and it will happen!

my gosh, you sound just like me! I also took 5 HPT and they came out negative too! I am already 4 days late with my period, and have the same symptoms as you as well. I spotted yesterday, although it was only a faint pink color and was gone after two wipes. I'm going to the doctor on Tuesday and promised myself not to buy anymore HPTs. They are a huge waste of my money.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the both of us!

Go to the doc and blood test again. THat will be your answer. We can only guess as to your pregnancy status. It is possible to make yourself believe you are pregnant, especially when you're trying, thus creating false pregnancy symptoms. However you could be pregnant and it just not show up on a urine test. Visit the doc. Best of luck!

It's possible to be that late when you're normally regular. I've been like clockwork my whole life, but recently had a 7 day late period. I'm not sexually active, so that never was an issue, I'm just saying, it can happen. Changing your living situation, living with other women can alter your timing.
