I am not sure if you have an anxiety disorder, however, I have Obsessive-Compulsive disorder. I have had it since age 5, I am now 31. I was on Paxil for five years, it helped at first, but then it stopped helping. Only when you stop taking SSRI's you experience withdrawals.... I guess what I am trying to get at is, if you feel nervous, too nervous, to handle everyday life.....then seek help. Try a psychologist first......... if that doesn't help then maybe you should see a psychiatrist.......either way good luck... I will pray for you.

You are not to nervous to handle everyday life, you just THINK you are. I used to suffer from every anxiety and phobia that existed. I was a nervous wreck every day of my life and was contantly suffering from panic attacks and irrational thoughts. But I educated myself about what was going on and eventually things got better. All of your problems are of your own making, and you can fix them. I am guessing you are one of those people who spend a lot of time in their own head, involved in their own thoughts.....thinking "what if" all the time, and analyzing things to death. You need to get OUT of your head and into something else. Like a hobby or movies or anything that makes you stop thinking about your worries. When you aren't thinking about something, it can't bother you. And when you do start over-thinking things, just keep telling yourself it is no big deal and then move on to something else. Keep repeating that pattern until eventually you really start to believe it.

There is a great website called Anxietybusters.com. They have a great messageboard that could be a lot of help to you.

It is possible; you could be suffering from an anxiety disorder. Seek the help of a psychiatrist (not a therapist or psychologist - they can't prescribe medication). He or she can determine what the problem is and how best to treat it.

Stop being so damn paranoid, everyone is nervous at first but you adapt, if you never adapt and do something you'll never know and will be a nervous, have anxiety, and a anti-social person living in their home like a bum.

The first thing that I think of is an anxiety disorder, but in any case you should make an appointment with someone that can help you. Good luck to you!

I used to feel that way sometimes, but facing the fear is really the only way to overcome it.

You can't be agoraphobic. it will get worse and worse. Try an acting class, or a meditation class, or something that is a release for you that forces you to interact with people.

And get off the computer, too. Most people are nice!
