Do speed of election results really matter if they are not verifiable, accurate or reliable? Will it make a big difference if all voting is manually with a paper trail with election results being declared a month later.

Actually, I was just thinking about this issue the other day. Truthfully, I think that at all the polls they should go back to the one, tried and proven method of voting and that is the older voting machines. You step up, pull the curtain, and then choose the lever and just pull it down. There was never a doubt of who the person voted for , no counts afterward to see if the tally was right, no 'chads'...no computer issues to confuse the elderly...just plain old voting the old fashioned way.

I could never figure out why they ever got rid of that as it was always accurate. I do not like voting on paper, which is the way it's done where I live. I don't like it because they copy of number of the ballot they are giving me, and that's actually tracing my vote...and that I do not like because it's linked to my name in the voters record book. That is supposed to be private.

at the same time as there stay some extreme complications and doubt about digital vote casting, the authorities see this because the way ahead in encouraging more beneficial people to vote. Take the problem of the elected mayor of the city of Lewisham the following in London. I actually have study in the papers that a referendum grow to be held in the London Borough of Lewisham to make certain no matter if to have a rapidly elected mayor. The finally end up for that referendum grow to be an insignificant 18% of the voters. Lewisham were provided that is elected mayor. considering then the council have fought tooth and nail to eliminate their elected mayor, whom they say is unhelpful. The mayor has a mandate in that he has been elected through the persons. My view is that a finally end up of 18% for any type of election is a non-starter. yet what to do? digital vote casting seems a answer, considering people will be in a position, once registered, to vote on line. desire it fairly works.
