I'm 23 and my periods have come every three months since last year. Before I would have a period one month and then it would come again two months later and the next one would come one month later. Well now I have been having light cramps and light bleeding for the past week. I just want to know what could be causing this to happen.

There could be any number of reasons. Fibroids, cysts, tumors, thyroid problems, hormonal imbalances..... just to name a few. Go to your gynecologists and have them check you out. If you don't have health insurance, go to your local planned parenthood, they often provide the services that you need for free. Don't ignore it!!!!!!

I think you should check this out with your GP too sweetheart. Are you on the pill at all? This usually helps to regulate your periods.

Please see your doctor or go and have a chat at your family planning clinic

Have you verified if you have PCOS (polycistic ovary syndrome). Talk with your doctor and see if you do. This can cause abnormal periods.Good luck!

I have no idea, but maybe you should go to the Dr. And they might put you on BC pills.
