Websters took it out of the dictionary, cause it doesn't exist anymore. With cutbacks and all, customer satisfaction is a memory. Safety, quality, and return with receipt took it's place

Customer Satisfaction is a concept that Retailers and Service Providers use to give assurance to potential users of their products or services motivation to their pre purchase decision. However, the post purchase decision is where it gets tricky. Getting the product or service and it wasn't to expectations is when customer satisfaction gets a little bit on the ambiguous side. A good store policy would be to find out what it takes to find a middle ground for this customer without greater out of pocket expenses for the provider. If a store can do that the customer will most always give their friends and family good commentary about the treatment after the sale as well as before the sale.... THAT SELLS!!!

Sadly this hasn't been so much the case in recent years with being in a disposable society and the younger generation not honouring this concept.

Quite simply, it means to want nothing more as what you have is good enough. Do you know what the opposite of contentment/satisfaction is??? Ambition. It's funny. Within general western society, if you say you are ambitious, it is considered to be a virtuous personality trait. If you are unambitious, you are considered to be a loser or lazy. We have been indoctrinated to think contentment is a bad thing so we make more money and buy more meaningless rubbish in order to be "successful". Discontented consumers are a massive money spinner for corporations so they will keep tempting you to be unsatisfied in order to satisfy you with their product, until 6 months later when they bring out the new improved version which makes you become a monster of lust again. Personally speaking, anyone that has a smile on their face is successful as far as I'm concerned but they will often be economically useless. The size of your TV or bank balance is not an indication of success. It is an indication of how greedy you are and if you are trying to get a bigger bank balance or a bigger, better TV, I pity you because you know nothing about valuing what you have, i.e satisfaction. You have a disposable life where you take, take, take until you are so full up, you explode with depression! Sorry. Got carried away there. Peace, love and Anarchy!

Customer satisfaction, is a business term which is used to capture the idea of measuring how satisfied an enterprise's customers are with the organization's efforts in a marketplace. It is seen as a key business performance indicator and is part of the four perspectives of a Balanced Scorecard.
Every organization has customers of some kind. The organization provides products (goods and/or services) of some kind to its customers through the mechanism of a marketplace. The products the organization provides are subject to competition whether by similar products or by substitution products.

You can answer this question yourself. What kind of service do you want? The customer is always right even if they are wrong. Do whatever it takes to satisfy a customer and do it immediately if not sooner. Don't make excuses, just tell me when my problem will be fixed and be sure to let me know if there is a delay. Never argue or disagree.
