Please help....I have a Dell Inspiron 700m that has a built in wireless card. How do I know if it is workin?

I had to reformat my computer and erased everything and now i'm not sure if it is working right. I really need to know but i dont have DSL. Is there anyway i can find out without being connected?

Can you connect wired to confirm that the internet connection is working? Did you reinstall from the Dell CD that came with the computer? Go to Control Panel > System > Hardware tab > Device Manager, look under network adapters, click on the wireless card and see if it is enabled and reported as working properly. If it is, use Control Panel > Wireless Network Setup Wizard to create a new wireless connection.
