What a great question! Maybe people are obsessed because the media has blown the whole thing out of the water - it is all we see and hear. And what was she famous for again? I understand she was a Playmate of the year, but so were a lot of other women that I cannot name and we know nothing about. Now if she would have found a cure for cancer...
As for the men that claimed they slept with her, they should be embarrassed! That does nothing to add to Anna Nicole Smith's already tainted image, besides the fact that it makes them look like money hungry attention whores.
Do you realize that she has already had more press than Gerald Ford when he died? AND our country is at war (whether it be for good or bad) and the President just had a live press conference that was pushed aside for some legal hearing about where they are going to bury her!
Ever have the feeling that if the media gave enough coverage to a steaming pile of dog feces that millions would think that it was a story worth being glued to?

Well Mr. Jiggley Pants...are you sure you're not the father? Come on...it's a celebrity possible suicide/ overdose/ murder with more loose strings then a homeless guys sweater. It gets more outrageous by the day. I personally feel bad for everything that's happened. Nobody needs to go out like that and no baby deserves to have this happen to them. Already in the limelight at 5 months old, no daddy or family and possibly a billion dollars. We watched Anna Nicole's downfall and nobody did a thing, everybody laughed and now....it's just insane the way it ended..or hasn't ended. It's facinating. If you're not intrigued then why are you asking questions about it? Hmm...? Seriously though, I don't feel better by watching it. I want to figure out what's going on and what the hell happened and what's going to happen. Don't you like to challenge your brain as well as your body?

I feel the same way as you. I am sooo tired of hearing about Anna, but the reason everyone is so, as you say, obsessed with her is her money and the baby. Everyone wants the money, which makes them want the baby. Her family acted like she did not exist until the day she died, and the reason is MONEY! I agree people should leave her alone and let her rest in peace. It is getting more and more ridiculous everyday.

I think that the bottom line is that women find a certain satisfaction in the evidence that a life oriented around blatant sexuality (and little else) leads to bad ends, and men are just intrigued with a woman who exudes sexuality and availability to that degree. Not that both men and women don't have sadness and pity mixed in with it, and certainly not to say that we aren't all weary of hearing far too much her!

I think Anna Nicole spent her whole life looking for love. I think most of the guys in her live used her. I think her boyfriend/baby dad killed her and her son. I think her life was said. Most of the people since her death, give interview for money. Why not claim to be her baby dad, and get money.
She did not deserve to kill, or her son
