what does being a bore mean?

If you are labeled as a boring person, how can one change their personality (trait)?

the person does not put enough emotion into his/her conversations. the subject matter is dull, unexciting, or trivial.
the bore just can't capture and keep the attention of the person he/she is talking with.

It's very painful I guess, but honestly i wonder whether it's right to change some aspects of yourself or not... i mean, you should just be the way u are, as it comes naturally, and you're going to find people who like you and accept u for who u are...whereas if you change something, you might find more people, but in the end are they digging you or the way you have led yourself to act?
The only right thing to do, according to me, is to analyse if there's some 'blocks' you have, something that holds you back from expressing urself in certain occasions, and in case, work on that, but remaining faithful to yourself.

Be more of a listener, talking to get people to talk about themselves. Try not to speak for too long when it's your turn to speak. Try to say things relevant to other people. Try Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People" and Larry King's "How to Talk to Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere: The Secrets of Good Communication" (regardless of what you think of Larry King)

Study more interesting things. Find out more about people. Observe when you could talk instead. And if someone is hateful enough to tell you you are boring, walk away, to study perhaps? (There are others who would find you laid back and comforting.)

i dont know i always tell my bf hes boring but he likes what he does so he doesnt think hes boring. id say just try to do more interactive things. your probably not that old so me being young i like to go out alot. maybe try to go out more
