If all medical problems have been ruled out and medications that he may be taking; then perhaps it's time to look a psychological issues. Such as any traumatic events happening in the last six months? IE.. deaths in the family? anyone move in or move out of the house recently? who is new in his life; such as teachers friends (male as well as female) neighbors or people at church. I'm not saying that he is being sexually abused, but only ~ 1% of sexual abuse happens from a stranger. It is not as unusual as you may think for a teen boy to be molested and not tell his parents. or anybody for that matter. Look for unusual patterns on cell phone records Internet history; any thing. A 16yr old boy doesn't have E.D. for nothing. it's worth looking into. don't leave any stone uncovered. and report to the police if you find something no matter who it may be!!!!!!!!!!!! Boys can be molested by someone his own age too male or female. I'm a forensic medical examiner and in 20yrs I have never heard of tonsillitis causing E.D. But I don't know your son and I can't make any assertions. But as a concerned parent I FEEL your pain. I will also pray for you. GOOD LUCK

Know the asteroid wellhead tonsil stones them for many years and it's been title not eventually.
Best decision I've ever made! I was shocked by the way of getting out the stones out. It was so easy, but more importantly, painless. I really liked the little trick he had for preventing gag reflex. He have one happy customer here.

Never heard of this before but it looks like they are affecting his health. I think he should get them removed. At 16 I had trouble keeping mine down and a few yrs. later still do. He should be having this problem only, even after masturbating several times a day. Do you know if this was the case a while back? Ofcourse him worrying about doesn't help either. Please know you can email me if you wish.

It's probably just the flux or hormones comming and going.
BUT....
These also sound like some red-flags for substance abuse. Are you sure he isn't using anything? He must be pretty open with you to tell his mom he isn't getting hard. See if he will talk to you about possible benzo abuse (valium, klonopin, etc) or opiates.

No. that has absolutely positively nothing to do with it.
The problem can, however.. be psychological. If you have insurance through your job you can diagnose him with a urologist who will recommend the best course of action.
I don't think they prescribe ED pills to minors.
Trust me -- when he finds someone where the chemistry is right between them, things will stiffen up a bit.
Good Luck

Pychological!
He may have an erection before he wakes and not know it, by the time he is up his penis isn't up, and sometimes later in the day, but it still happens.
I used to think about this, but nope Pyschological! He'll be fine

well, my buddy has ed and he called this place called The Institute of Advanced medicine and he is currently taking medication to help with the ED. but seeing as how he is a minor, i think you would have to be the one to call in for him and see what they have available. it might not be the right thing for you, but hey, its worth a shot!!

The open mouth and sleepyness during the day makes me wonder if perhaps he has apnea or something like that? Has he been checked for that?
