Amman is a city located in the near east, near the Mediterranean Sea. Amman is the capital city of Jordan, a small country bordering Israel, Iraq, Syria, and Saudi Arabia, and close to Lebanon, Egypt, and Cyprus.
Amman is about 67 miles east of Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel and the Mediterranean Sea, 100 miles south of Dimashq (Damascus), Syria, and 173 miles north of the Gulf of Aqaba, which empties into the Red Sea.
