I wasn't really thinking when I followed the approach below. Here's a much easier way. Since verbs ending with "ic" add a "k" before tacking on the verbal "ing" and "ed" endings (e.g. ;picnic > picnicked/picnicking), all you have to do is sort through the words ending in "icking" for the "-ic" verbs.

This is the list of seven verbsI came up with (using the search method described below):

frolic
mimic
mosaic
panic
physic
picnic
traffic

The spelling rule (about adding k before endings that begin with a vowel) is outlined here:

---------------------

"morewords.com" lists 3,647 English WORDS that end with "-ic". You'd have to go through the list to sort out which are verbs. . .

To find morewords list, what you have to do is: go to the search box on the home page, and type "*aic" (without the quotes!) for the first search, "*bic" the second time, and so forth. (The "*" represents 'any number of letters.') Each will display a list of words and tell you the number of words in the list.

Adding them altogether yields 3647 words... most of which, of course, are adjectives.
