Open Internet explorer and select Tools and then Internet options
Click the Content tab.
Select Auto complete and making sure that “Web addresses is checked” (by default it will be) click the clear forms button.
All done :o)

Uncheck the Box if you do no wish internet explorer to save your searches..

On a second note...Being myself an Tech with a Background on Computer Forensics....If a person really wants to know what you are doing with your PC...and if that person has skills, that person can find out anything you have done on your PC, unless you take certain steps to minimize this from happening.

I ussually recomend my Customers to use a Free Utility called

CCLEANER
http://www.ccleaner.com

on the Advance options, there should be an option that says "SECURE DELETE" 7 Passes..

(Friendly Version)
This does not only deletes files, it also overwrites files, thus decreasing by at least 90% the chances of someone ever finding out your stuff. (unless is the FBI..lol)

Also...on the options...make sure to uncheck the box with the 48hrs option.

If you are using IE, Tools> Internet Options.
Then delete history, cookies and temporary Internet files. That will pretty much cover it.
