your Oscars are probably in a little bit of shock if they are in new territory it will take a few days for them to make the territory theirs
once they decide they are home they will eat any thing they can catch (the eel) i like to feed my Oscars night crawlers that you can buy at the bait shop or in the sporting goods department at wal-mart i have 2 Oscars and 2 choclate cichlids in a 130 gal. tank the live worms will start a feeding frenzy so be careful

Oscars get tired of equal style of meals, even mine acquired uninterested in pellet and the fine factor you do is stop forcing him to consume pellets. My oscar stopped feeding on pellets a few month in the past and i stopped forcing him. I by no means put in reside fishes. He was once not ever so lively when he ate pellets, but now after i feed him chopped cucumber, tomatoes, boiled rice etc and he loves it! He wiggles all of the option to the highest at the same time i feed him. He loves to be fed types day-to-day. I also feed him significant ants. But please dont feed chicken or red meat, or he'll fortify! Just go via his rules, or you can turn out to be with him dead! Oscars normally grow to be too cussed!

Did you try live goldfish? Yum. I used to feed my oscar by holding pellets about 5 inches above the water, until 1 day he jumped up and out of the tank and onto the carpet.

DO THEY have any type of holes in ther heads or marks on there heads/ bodies if they do you really need to get them some attention...My oscar had hole in head and use to eat lke a pig literally...I had to go to vet and get flagyl...you need 500mg pills...You need to crush up 3 pills daily and do a 20% water change....Do water change first, then put in VERY crushed up 3 flagyl pills, mix into water....you should repeat this 5 days and then continue 20% water changes twice weekly...please if ther is any type of holes in his head get this medication...my oscar finally quit eating for ten 10 days....b4 i finally got these meds...now hes bakc to himself and is loving me again ;)

oscars get uninterested in similar form of nutrition, even mine were given uninterested in pellet and the proper ingredient you do is provide up forcing him to eat pellets. My oscar stopped feeding on pellets about a month in the past and that i ended forcing him. i not in any respect put in stay fishes. he replaced into not in any respect so energetic even as he ate pellets, yet now after I feed him chopped cucumber, tomatoes, boiled rice etc and he loves it! he wiggles all a thanks to the precise even as i feed him. he likes to be fed varieties conventional. i also feed him tremendous ants. yet please dont feed fowl or beef, or he will beef up! only pass by technique of his rules, or you'll finally end up with him useless! oscars now and again develop into too obdurate!

Sometimes it simply takes them a few days to settle in to their new home before they are ready to eat. Also, you may be offering food different from what they are used to and that can add a few days to the settling in process. Give them a few more days and they will most likely start eating.

Sometimes you can get very picky fish .Try changing the food if your feeding them live food then find them in different sizes. If your feeding them other food try using the shrimp. I know my fish love the shrimp.

They only eat when hungry and prefer live food,i.e. shrimp and goldfish, but they will eat pellets.I think you are becoming overly concerned, just continue what you have been doing to maintain them and you should be fine.
Good luck.
